What Is Spiritual Accompaniment?
Spiritual direction, or accompaniment, is where one person helps another to explore their relationship with God and their spiritual journey. It is distinct from advice-giving and instead focuses on helping the individual attend to the “movements of the Spirit” in their life, rather than solve problems. The director listens, asks questions, and provides a confidential, prayerful space for reflection on daily experiences and a deeper connection with their faith.
You may have questions about life that you’d like to explore or feel a call to something deeper within.
You may have been hurt or abused spiritually and need a safe place to be heard—a place where there are no “right” responses.
Or, you may not hold to any particular beliefs but still long for something more.

About My Work
I trained with the London Centre of Spiritual Direction and have worked with individuals (including clergy and trainee ordinands) for more than 10 years.
Typically, sessions are every 4-6 weeks, via Zoom or in-person in south Somerset.
