Practicalities

First Session

The first appointment is always on the basis that you are at liberty to decide whether or not I am the right person for you to work with as it is very important that you feel comfortable with the person you decide to work with.

Fees

My fee is £85 per session. A small number of sessions are available at a reduced fee, please ask if you would like to know more about this.

Usually, we will meet at the same time each week and sessions are 50 minutes.

Professional Standards

I am a qualified and accredited psychotherapist, providing counselling, psychotherapy and spiritual accompaniment face to face and online. 

I am registered with the BACP and UKCP, I adhere to their code of ethics and am in regular supervision. I am also a registered member of the London Centre of Spiritual Direction and adhere to their code of ethics.

Therapeutic Principles

The therapeutic relationship is based on trust and mutual respect and is guided by the client’s process. Each therapeutic process is unique just as each person is unique. The therapeutic process is designed for the growth and wellbeing of the client and I see it as my professional responsibility to inform you if it does not seem to me to be working to your benefit. I adhere to the BACP and UKCP code of conduct and ethics.

Contract

The boundaries (time, fees, ethics) create a safe and professional working alliance and are set according to professional standards. 

I ask that you give me 2 full working days notice of a change of time or if you cannot attend. I will always do my best to reschedule a session within the same week.  If you cancel with any less notice than 48 hours, the session fee will still apply.

Times and Locations

Both in-person (in TA17) and online sessions are currently available on weekdays, including some midweek evenings.
